After a semi-good night's sleep we headed to the lobby for breakfast and to suggest to our proprietor that perhaps our air conditioner wasn't working. Sure enough it wasn't, so they promptly moved us to the room next door that was much, much better. After re-settling, we headed the 20 minutes into Haines City.
After Tom, the biggest name competing is Lance Armstrong. Thought I'd have my photo taken with him.
Took a little stroll down to the lake (he's still concerned about the swim) to check out the actual course. Based on buoys it was kind of hard to tell but the maps helped.
Because we had the time and Tom's lower back has been giving him problems he had an on-site massage and Gabby (his new favorite masseuse) did a special kinesiology therapeutic tape on his back which is supposed to last a few days and even hold through the swim.
Afterward we unloaded his bike, found his place in transition where he could leave it overnight, then headed to Oz (friend from school who is also competing) and Jessie's condo for a pre-race pasta dinner. Loaded up on those carbs for the big day!

Just about everyone here is dressed like this:
