Turned out Jessica had a friend who was also in DC (works for the Miss America pageant) that she hadn't seen since high school. She headed into town to spend some time with her.
While she did that, Tom and I headed to the base to do some paperwork regarding the move.
Then we went to another airport to pick up Taylor! And we went to Tyson's Mall to do a little shopping.

Santa wasn't at his station so we figured it was okay to take our own photo on his sleigh
Back to the apartment where they could snuggle in with goodies and spend their first Christmas together in 5 years.
Beyond happy to have us all together under one roof. Mom and dad slept VERY well!
