It was such a blessing to all be together over Christmas. Taylor bought the game Axis and Allies which we played over a few nights. LONGEST game in the world.

Christmas Eve we went to the 5:00 service at Lincoln Theatre then hopped back on the Metro to go to Eastern Market. We had saved all our loose change over the year and had cashed it in to the tune of $120 or so. So we bought some gift cards to CVS pharmacy (which are all over the city) then made some little packages for the homeless. Toiletries, water bottles, granola bars, etc. We walked around and handed them out, along with the gift cards to people who looked like they could use them. Then walked to the capitol to see the tree there. It was pretty quiet in the city.
Yep, that pretty well sums up how I felt Christmas morning. Tom tested "the kid's" drone around the living room. We had a relaxing day then headed back out into the city to see the National tree by the White House. Us and a bazillion other people!
