Day 4- Nauvoo

We knew we wanted to spend an entire day and evening in Nauvoo because there was so much to do.  We found this darling little place and settled in.

Little snack and tea kitchenette right off of our room

We started the day at the temple where mom and dad went in to do a session.  While they were there I wandered around the shops and temple grounds.

This was a Catholic church just a block from the temple

Happily our hotel was right up the street so they could change clothes and we could head back to
the visitor's center where they had some very talented missionaries.  They started with an acapella number in the lobby of the center then we went into the theatre for a musical production.

The grounds were really pretty as well

After that we went to the Nauvoo Hotel for a yummy buffet dinner.  Oh my gosh!  So many wonderful choices but the prime rib was to DIE for.  The place was decorated so cute with different themes in each room.

We were definitely fed for the evening so we went back down the street for the evening shows featuring ALL the missionaries.  I told mom and dad they need to go on this mission.  They would LOVE it!

We drove down the road for one more show before bedtime.  This was just the senior missionaries.  Some of them were pretty good and others....not so much but bless them, they were having a good time and I'm sure when they signed up to be missionaries they didn't know theatre was going to be part of the bargain!
