Day 3

 We had heard on the news about a tornado that had gone through a town called Wessington Springs, SD about 30 miles from where we had spent the night so we headed out of our way a bit to go see it.  I've never seen the aftermath up close and personal.  Pretty creepy how it could destroy one place and completely miss another next door.  We found the bank where they were taking donations but all their power and things were still wacky so it took a while.  Very sad.








 Next up was the Corn Palace where everything is made of corn husks, kernels, you name it they use all of it.  Different colors and types of corn that are harvested specifically for this place.






Headed to Omaha, Nebraska and another Mormon historical site, Winter Quarters where a senior missionary showed up through the visitor's center and we walked around the grounds of the temple.
